PURPOSE OF JOB:
We are in search of a driven and client-focused individual to join our Public Sector Sales team as an Account Director, specialising in NHS accounts. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in IT sales and a passion for delivering value to healthcare clients through innovative technology solutions.
We're growing across multiple regions, so this individual will manage a patch around their location. Ideally would be north-west, south-east and south-west.
The successful candidate will manage a portfolio of new and existing NHS customers, driving sales across the full Bytes offering—including Software, Security, and Cloud Services. The role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare sector, excellent relationship-building skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and developing new opportunities. Adaptability, commercial acumen, and a consultative mindset are key to success in this fast-paced and impactful role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clearly communicate the full value of the Bytes portfolio to NHS customers, showcasing how our solutions drive real impact.
- Proactively generate new business and expand existing accounts to meet and exceed personal GP targets.
- Own and grow your sales pipeline—identify opportunities, close deals, and drive long-term growth.
- Align customer needs with tailored solutions, guiding them through evaluation and decision-making.
- Build strong client relationships through regular on-site meetings and strategic engagement.
- Consistently hit and surpass sales targets while enhancing customer satisfaction and profitability.
- Drive attendance to Bytes-hosted events, webinars, and seminars, and represent the brand as a trusted host.
- Leverage CRM tools to manage opportunities, track progress, and maintain high-quality customer interactions.
- Stay sharp—complete all relevant vendor accreditations to maintain expert-level knowledge.
Key Requirements
- 2-4+ Years Experience for an IT Value Added Reseller, Solution Provider or Vendor
- Solid knowledge of the NHS and wider healthcare landscape, including procurement frameworks and buying cycles.
- Proven experience engaging with external clients—confident in presenting, influencing, and building trust.
- A strong track record of delivering outstanding customer outcomes and exceeding performance targets.
- Good understanding of IT challenges and digital transformation priorities within the NHS.
- Results-driven with a passion for solving problems and delivering value through technology.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-led environment with a focus on long-term client success.
