The Account Director is responsible for managing existing recruitment agency customers, developing strategies for growth, working closely with recruitment consultants and directors to maximise referral business. The Account Director will be an expert in all aspects of umbrella and contractor relevant regulation and will regularly provide insights and training sessions to customers.
As well as managing existing accounts, they will be responsible for securing new accounts. To ensure successful conversion of leads into revenue, they will work closely with the operational team and internal account management.
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience Required
- Previous business development and account management experience allied to the recruitment/contracting industry
- Proven track record of successful account growth
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills essential (written and oral), including at C-suite level
- Excellent commercial awareness
- Knowledge of our business offer/ products and services advantageous
- Confident at solution selling at C-suite level
- Process orientated with strong problem-solving, multi-tasking and numeracy skills
- Results-oriented, positive outlook, self-driven and motivated
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and develop strategies to achieve objectives
- Identify new business opportunities, and develop business development plans to add new business to your portfolio
- Liaise with other internal departments (Finance / Operations) and maximize opportunities in line with the business plan
- Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems, and update relevant information held in these systems
- Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
- Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
- Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Undertake full implementation and ongoing account management

Basic Salary £50,000 plus commission
Flexibility required with this role to build business 8:00 - 20:00
FT/ Perm/Hybrid (will be required to attend meetings in our offices as and when requested)
