Account Executive

The UK grocery market has been undergoing a significant transformation, and Distinctive aims to help retailers and brands grow faster during this period.
Managed by a team of highly experienced ex-retailers, we are transforming how products reach customers; delivering ambient and chilled, food and non-food products to our UK retail clients. As we expand rapidly, we are constantly looking for the right people to join our team.
The Account Executive will play a key role in the growth of Distinctive. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop and shape both the position and the team.
Responsibilities
This role is diverse and varied. Its main purpose is to develop and manage product offers, work closely with clients to enhance sales performance and service, monitor performance metrics against financial goals, stay updated on industry trends, and lead meetings with suppliers and customers.
Qualifications for success include:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good commercial acumen and interest in pursuing a commercial career
- Experience in grocery retail or consumer goods, with an understanding of basic sector concepts
- Ability to work independently and adapt in an ambiguous environment
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to take initiative
Location
- Our office is based in Lichfield; the ideal candidate will be Midlands-based
- Work is hybrid, with some travel required; a UK driving license is necessary
