ARTO is partnered with a global biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative therapies for rare diseases.

They’re now looking to appoint an Associate Director, Data Management Science to take ownership of study-related data management activities and drive operational excellence across clinical development programs. This role offers the opportunity to lead on data strategy, process improvement, and ensure high-quality, regulatory-compliant data delivery across global studies.

Key reasonability's

  • Lead all study-related data management activities, including protocol review, eCRF design, and development of Data Management and Validation Plans.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure complete, correct, and fit-for-purpose study datasets for statistical analysis.
  • Oversee medical coding, SAE reconciliation, and database lock activities.
  • Manage and guide team members or consultants as needed to achieve departmental goals.
  • Support process improvement and innovation initiatives within data management science.
  • Represent the function in cross-functional study meetings, ensuring alignment and communication between stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Data Science, Life Sciences, Statistics, or a related field (PhD/MSc preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in data management or clinical development within pharma, biotech, or CRO settings.
  • Strong understanding of data standards (CDISC, CDASH) and regulatory compliance (FDA, ICH, GCP).
  • Hands‑on experience with data validation, database builds, and clinical programming collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
