OverviewAssociate Director Deal Strategy and Commercial Due Diligence, Media – KPMG UK. Location options across multiple UK cities. Permanent, full-time role within The Strategy Group of the Deal Advisory business.ResponsibilitiesLead and develop projects within Strategy & Performance Transformation, focusing on Deal Strategy in the Media sector, with broader scope including Growth Strategy, Cost and Operational Strategy, and Enterprise-wide Transformation.Design and manage mid-sized to large projects or very large, complex workstreams; act as primary client liaison and ambassador for the firm.Produce client-ready deliverables of high quality with minimal supervision; develop solutions to complex problems and challenge the thinking of colleagues and clients.Guide junior staff in building financial/business models and performing scenario and sensitivity analyses; provide timely feedback and coaching.Identify go-to-market opportunities and lead day-to-day efforts to present these to clients; maintain contact with mid-level clients outside engagements.Take leadership in internal processes, risk management adherence, and thought leadership activities; lead practice development to ensure successful delivery.Lead on leadership opportunities and inspire junior team members within S&PT.Key CompetenciesBehaviours expected at KPMG include Deliver Impact, Seek Growth, and Inspire Trust. Examples:Deliver Impact: make sound decisions, foster innovation, apply strategic perspective.Seek Growth: learn and adapt, develop and motivate others, build collaborative relationships.Inspire Trust: drive quality, act ethically, advocate for equality and belonging.Your ExperienceWork Experience:Experience in a leading strategy consulting firm, Big 4, or strategy/corporate development in industry.Strong understanding of value drivers in the Media sector and outlook for the sector.Experience leading mid-sized and large projects, designing work plans and teams for excellent client output and project economics.Experience with M&A transactions in the Media sector (CDD, VDD, Strategy or Value Creation).Ability to design proposals, scopes, and pricing for mid-sized to large assignments; effective collaboration with teams and stakeholders; strong followership and business development activity; ability to manage non-client-facing responsibilities to advance the practice.Technical Skills:Strong academic track record; strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.Structured thinking, creativity, and ability to distill insights from large data sets.Strong numerical and commercial acumen; ability to build complex financial models; excellent written and oral communication; foreign language skills are a bonus.KPMG OverviewKPMG in the UK is part of a global network offering Audit, Legal, Tax and Advisory services.
