Associate Director in Electrical Engineering, playing a vital role in every aspect of electrical engineering on Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure with opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects at home and abroad. We specialise in all aspects of electrical engineering across sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education. Opportunities are available in our Bristol office.

Responsibilities

  • Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Set quality assurance standards in design.
  • Grow, develop and manage electrical engineering capability within the practice.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Electrical Engineer.
  • Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCD\'s, earthing and bonding and familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry-specific standards and working practices.

This role may require security clearance. If necessary, the offer of employment is dependent on obtaining the relevant level of clearance.
