The project:
Programme APOLLO is a Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) programme to seismically proof the defence estate in Cyprus through a series of reinforcement and new build projects. This large and ambitious programme is expected to run for 8-10 years and is split into three packages. Packages 1 and 2 are design and build contracts for services family accommodation (SFA), single living accommodation (SLA), communal messes, schools, sports facilities and technical buildings. Package 3 is Programmatic Assurances and Service Support (PASS) that will be the overarching coordination for the whole programme.
Hybrid working with requirement for client site work in UK and Cyprus.

Develop and manage an integrated programme plan, including internal and external dependencies and alignment with sub-programmes, and to provide line management leadership and guidance for others.
You’ll be responsible for:
Identifying areas of high risk within the integrated plan; develop and manage appropriate mitigation actions.
Ensuring the integrated plan is aligned with cost and resource plans, and other functions as appropriate; highlight and manage any issues to satisfactory resolution.
Tracking delivery progress against the integrated plan through to completion; document, highlight and manage any exceptions to satisfactory resolution.
Ensuring the sub-programme teams provide regular programme plan updates.
Updating the integrated programme plan monthly, or as directed by senior management.
Compiling management reports, including associated metrics and added-value narratives, interpretations, and recommendations, to support board meetings and senior management reviews.
Maintaining customer expectations from a programme perspective.
Implementing planning standards across client organisation.
Carrying out regular sub-programme reviews; ensure (a) programme plans are deliverable and (b) planning best practices are being followed.
Contributing to change planning by conducting impact assessments on the integrated programme plan and maintaining a log of all changes to the integrated programme plan.
Providing education, guidance, advice and coaching on planning to client colleagues
Ensuring a best practice planning framework is rolled out and fully embedded on all sub-programmes; resolve or escalate poor planning practices as appropriate.
Ensuring that all programme staff receive an appropriate to the client programme planning guidelines.
Periodically issue appropriate performance measures as required by the programme drumbeat.
You’ll need to have:
Mastery in setting up effective planning/schedule management systems & procedures.
Expert knowledge of schedule management tools & software.
Managing resourcing, growing & developing the team.
Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome.
Support to senior management in deal negotiations, contract development, due diligence & other business development or alliance development projects.
Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check schedule management inputs, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.
Relevant university degree or equivalent with professional work experience in one or more specific disciplines in the programme, project or commercial management disciplines.
Progress towards achievement of chartered status (or equivalent) and/or membership of a relevant professional institution e.g. APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE.
Relevant CSCS card
Advanced user of the Microsoft Office Suite of Tool
