Job ObjectivesClient facing, stakeholder engagement with key clients in Natural Resources and New EnergiesBusiness development and growth of the Aberdeen teamTeam development across planning & controls, cost management, project management; growth pace to be ambitious yet sustainableLead recruitment in Aberdeen with support from the Natural Resources North senior leadership teamProposal and bid writing/reviews60% to 80% time delivering planning and project controls across major programmes; remaining time supporting Aberdeen team developmentCollaborate with the Senior Leadership Team within Natural Resources North cost centre and the wider UK programme controls functionMentoring and coachingOther ResponsibilitiesExpansion plan lead: collaborate with other cost centres with Aberdeen presence; onboarding of new starts; build a leadership team in Aberdeen; focus on health, safety and well-being; establish bonds with remote and client-side teamsOn Commission: review new project proposals/remits and ensure realistic, resourced delivery plans; identify resourcing requirements and liaise with client planning functionsProvide efficient day-to-day service to Programme and Project Manager teams in reporting on plans, costs, safety, environment and programme performanceMonitor accuracy and consistency of plans, cost, safety, environment and performance reporting; deploy planning and controls resources effectivelyMonitor data input by project teams to cost and performance systems to ensure data standardsQualificationsNatural Resources and New Energies focused experienceProven business development experienceExcellent stakeholder management skillsStrong understanding of strategic resource managementAdaptability and resilienceEvidence of established management and leadership approachKnowledge of reputational, commercial and financial riskStrong oral and written communicationProven PMO experience within planning and project controls, ideally with a Natural Resources and New Energies focusProficiency with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office; understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start-up processesKnowledge of Aberdeen market would be advantageousKnowledge of digital PMOs would be advantageousAdditional InformationWe provide a great place to work where each person has the opportunity and voice to affect change.
