The Opportunity:
In this role, you will serve as a thought leader and authority on global Records and Information Management (RIM), guiding stakeholders on key RIM decisions, principles, policies, and procedures. You will collaborate with various functions to implement best practices aligned with Astellas’ policies and standards, ensuring effective records management across the organization. You will also identify and mitigate risks that could impact the company's ability to achieve its strategic objectives.

At Astellas, we recognize the importance of work-life balance. Our hybrid approach offers flexibility to work from home or in the office, typically with about one day per quarter in our London office, with flexibility based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and strategic direction for the global records and information management program, securing stakeholder support and managing risks.
- Developing and evolving policies, procedures, and strategies to adapt to legal, regulatory, and technological changes, while improving business processes.
- Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, HR, and IT to ensure regulatory compliance and integrate records management practices.
- Supporting records lifecycle management, including storage, archiving, digital solutions, and activities related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
- Representing the organization in industry groups and leading projects related to records management systems and strategic initiatives.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Significant experience in records and information management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry, with understanding of industry challenges.
- Strong leadership, management, and team motivation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a global environment.
- Proficiency in records management systems, databases, and document management tools, with collaboration skills with IT teams.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with Legal teams.
- Proven leadership in organizational change.
- Experience in staff management, coaching, and career development.
- Industry certifications such as CRM, AIIM ERM/ECM, CIP, or IGP.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Library/Information Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Additional Information:
- This is a permanent, full-time position based in London, UK.
- Follows a hybrid working model with approximately one day per quarter in the London office.
- Flexibility may be required based on business needs. Candidates must be within a commutable distance to London.
