OverviewThe Associate Director, Project Management leads a team of Project Managers to ensure excellence in the execution of language services for IQVIA customers. This is done in compliance with IQVIA Language Solutions SOPs while maintaining the highest standards of quality and meeting and exceeding customer expectations.This role involves fostering strong relationships within the team, as well as with internal and external stakeholders and clients. A key performance indicator for this position is customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses excellent operational and communication skills to enable seamless collaboration with IQVIA Language Solutions’ Commercial, Marketing, Operations and Business Solutions teams to execute the company’s strategy effectively.This position reports to the Director of Delivery at IQVIA Language Solutions, who will define these and other related duties based on business needs.ResponsibilitiesLead Project Management teams to achieve monthly and yearly objectives.Engage with clients and maintain strong relationships throughout the engagement lifecycle.Assess client expectations and specifications, providing best practice advice to ensure content effectiveness and satisfaction.Manage escalations or issues with professionalism and resolve them effectively.Ensure compliance with relevant IQVIA procedures and SOPs.Regional representation of IQVIA Language Solutions in Monthly and Quarterly business reviews with internal and external customers.Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesRelevant experience in leading Translations Project Management teams.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in an additional language is highly advantageous.Degree in Linguistics, Translation, or Localization-related disciplines preferred but not mandatory.Strong focus on project management effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.Ability to meet strict deadlines and handle competing priorities in dynamic environments.Superior problem-solving and analytical skills, including data collection, management, and presentation.Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and take initiative.Proficient IT skills and familiarity with XTRF, memoQ, or other TMS tools is a plus.Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues and clients, showcasing cultural and emotional intelligence.Capacity to foster professional development among team members and contribute to succession planning.Minimum Required Education and ExperienceBachelor’s degree, ideally in a linguistic, business, or scientific field.Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the translations and localization industry, specifically for regulated industries and life sciences.Minimum 5 years of experience leading teams at Director or Senior Director level.Physical RequirementsFrequent use of a keyboard, requiring repetitive motion of fingers.Regular use of telephone and face-to-face communication, requiring accurate speech perception.Prolonged sitting for extended periods.Availability to travel for occasional business meetings globally, based on client and production demands.The information above outlines the general nature and level of work performed within this classification.
