OverviewAssociate Director - London. We are expanding our Advisory Division and have a great opportunity for a dedicated Associate Director to join SOCOTEC Advisory, a chartered quantity surveying and expert witness consultancy. Our team consists of approximately 60 Quantity Surveyors with a broad spectrum of experience, delivering services across residential, infrastructure and marine sectors in public and private sectors.We are looking for a proactive, reliable and flexible Associate Director to oversee the Management of the Forensic Planning team reporting to the Senior Director. You will take briefs from clients or their legal teams, identify appropriate methodologies for delay analysis, determine information requirements to deliver appointments, and assist in developing budgets and work-plans to implement appointments.ResponsibilitiesOversee the Management of the Forensic Planning team and report to the Senior Director.Take briefs from clients or their legal teams and determine appropriate methodologies for delay analysis.Identify information requirements to deliver appointments and assist in developing budgets and work-plans.Prepare reports suitable for adjudication, arbitration or litigation.Apply forensic analysis skills to delay and project management tasks.Analyze delay in construction and infrastructure projects using appropriate analysis methodologies.Select and implement an analysis methodology to suit the appointment.Provide independent critical evaluation of project management performance.Demonstrate legal and contractual understanding of the status of expert evidence in adjudication, arbitration and litigation.Share knowledge through mentoring and training; contribute to a culture of lifelong learning.Identify work activities, manage resources, and collaborate to meet deadlines.Qualifications / SkillsExcellent report writing skills with the ability to prepare reports for adjudication, arbitration or litigation.Strong forensic analysis skills for delay and project management tasks.Ability to analyze delay in construction and infrastructure projects using suitable methodologies.Capability to select and implement an analysis methodology appropriate to the appointment.Independent critical evaluation of project management performance.Legal and contractual understanding of the status of expert evidence in adjudication, arbitration and litigation.Strong knowledge of construction processes and technologies.Commitment to lifelong learning and professional development.Ability to share knowledge through mentoring and training.Good management skills to identify and complete activities and coordinate with others to resolve tasks.About AdvisoryOur experienced team comes from diverse backgrounds and expertise.
