Overview

A leading banking organisation is seeking an experienced Audit Director to oversee its regulatory compliance and financial crime audit portfolio. This senior role will be responsible for providing independent assurance over the bank’s frameworks and controls, ensuring robust management of regulatory, reputational, and operational risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver audits across regulatory compliance and financial crime domains ( AML, sanctions, KYC, market abuse, and surveillance ).
• Challenge and influence senior stakeholders while leading complex audit reviews across global operations.
• Shape audit strategy, manage a high-performing team, and provide independent assurance on the bank’s frameworks and controls to safeguard its reputation.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in regulatory compliance and financial crime, including AML, sanctions, KYC, market abuse, and surveillance.
• Strong background in corporate or investment banking.
• Ability to lead audits across global operations and engage with senior stakeholders.
