Role Summary
The Business Intelligence & Insights Director leads the centralised BI Centre of Excellence, responsible for producing accurate, timely, and actionable insights to support performance management, strategic decisions, and operational delivery. The role drives data maturity and analytics capability across the UK business.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the BI Centre of Excellence, driving standards, scalability, and automation.
- Oversee the delivery of core dashboards, reports, and operational insights.
- Collaborate with Insight and Operational teams to translate data into meaningful narratives.
- Apply data governance, quality, and integration standards across the organisation as set out by Data/Technology.
- Build and maintain partnerships with Technology, Data Solutions, and Data Enablement to support analytics tooling.
- Identify opportunities to improve decision-making through predictive and prescriptive analytics.
- Support strategic and portfolio reviews with data-informed storytelling.
Salary up to: £111,000

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Strong background in BI leadership within large, multi-site organisations.
- Proven track record in leading analytics, data visualisation, and governance functions.
- Technical proficiency in data platforms (Power BI, SQL, etc.)
- Experience managing a team of analysts and developers.
Desirable
- Background in public service data environments
- Experience in data mesh or federated data models
- Exposure to predictive/prescriptive analytics tools
