Business Development Director

Overview
As Business Development Director at YouGov, you’ll be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities across diverse industry sectors with a specific focus on our Data Products solution, to the Financial Services sector. You’ll sell annual subscriptions to syndicated market research and analytics tools, helping B2C and B2B organisations make smarter decisions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct a comprehensive territory analysis, identifying key opportunities and prospective clients. You will take ownership of your territory, setting ambitious goals and pursuing high-value targets.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales plan specific to Data Products Subscription based research that keeps you on track to exceed targets. Monthly reviews will ensure your action plan for generating new business stays sharp and effective.
- Lead large enterprise business sales of our Data Products
- Collaborate with internal teams and sector experts to strategically elevate YouGov’s profile within your target accounts.
- Benefit from Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in your sector, converting inbound leads into long-term client relationships.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date client and prospect information in our CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring no opportunities slip through the cracks.
- Consistently generate fresh opportunities weekly, ensuring a steady pipeline to meet and exceed targets.
Essentials for interview
- Proven track record of enterprise sales success, with a hunger for exceeding targets.
- Deep understanding of Financial Services and Tech sector relating to data purchase.
- Experience targeting and managing potential clients in a professional services environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand and articulate complex solutions.
- Analytical, with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset.
- Self-motivated and organised, with the ability to manage time effectively to meet business development targets.
