Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

This is a hybrid position and may require different work patterns depending on client and project needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the expansion of CGI’s market presence, building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and driving high‑value opportunities that transform how public and private sector organisations operate. You will be responsible for defining winning strategies, securing multi‑million‑pound programmes, and ensuring CGI remains the partner of choice for digital transformation.

You will take ownership of the growth agenda, bringing creativity to how we engage clients and opening new pathways to success. Supported by CGI’s strong culture of collaboration, you will be empowered to deliver meaningful impact and shape the future direction of our business in the Republic of Ireland.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead & Innovate: Identify, shape, and secure new business opportunities across target sectors.
  • Develop & Deliver: Build and execute tailored strategies to win high‑value contracts.
  • Influence & Advise: Establish CGI as the trusted partner through deep market insight.
  • Build & Strengthen: Cultivate lasting relationships with C‑suite and senior decision‑makers.
  • Drive & Achieve: Consistently meet business development targets and utilisation objectives.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong record of business development success in Scotland, with the ability to design and deliver growth strategies in both public and commercial markets. You will be confident operating at senior levels, a natural relationship builder, and a strategic thinker with the drive to achieve ambitious targets.

  • Proven track record in business development and sales within Scotland.
  • Strong leadership and commercial acumen with the ability to innovate and disrupt.
  • In‑depth knowledge of public sector and commercial markets.
  • Excellent relationship management skills, with credibility at C‑suite level.
  • Ability to meet and exceed sales targets while managing utilisation requirements.
