MSQ Sport + Entertainment is experiencing exciting new client growth, having launched in 2024 and already expanded from London to Amsterdam and New York. We have a new opportunity for a Business Director to join the team. You’ll be the senior client lead within the agency, responsible for steering key brand relationships, delivering innovative and impactful creative solutions across sport and entertainment activations, and ensuring that MSQ Sport + Entertainment is seen as a trusted strategic partner. This role requires someone who thrives on brand building, champions creativity, and can balance commercial success with creative excellence.

What we’ll need from you

Client and Brand Leadership

  • Lead senior client relationships, acting as a brand steward and advisor at C-suite and marketing leadership level.
  • Gain a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, categories, and consumer audiences to unlock strategic and creative opportunities.
  • Drive brand transformation through bold creative ideas, long-term platform thinking, and integrated campaign execution.

Creative & Strategic Excellence

  • Collaborate with Strategy and Creative Directors to shape brand and communications strategies.
  • Champion creativity internally and externally, ensuring work pushes boundaries and delivers measurable brand impact.
  • Facilitate workshops and brand planning sessions with senior client stakeholders.

Business Growth

  • Identify and convert organic growth opportunities within existing accounts, broadening the agency’s remit.
  • Partner with new business teams to lead and win pitches.
  • Negotiate client contracts and commercial terms, ensuring sustainable agency revenue.
  • Lead and inspire a team of Account Directors, Managers, and Executives, ensuring seamless client service and delivery.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and clear career development pathways for team members.
  • Build a positive, collaborative culture that empowers cross-disciplinary teams.

Operational & Commercial Management

  • Ensure accounts are run efficiently, profitably, and with strong financial management.
  • Forecast and report on revenue, profitability, and resource requirements.
  • Oversee the delivery of campaigns on time, on budget, and to the highest creative standards.

What you’ll bring to the table

We’re looking for someone who has

  • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
  • Exceptional client-facing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Deep understanding of brand building, consumer insight, and integrated creative activations across sport and entertainment.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in account profitability management.
  • Strong ability to inspire trust, instill confidence, and foster long-term partnerships.
  • Collaborative approach with a passion for creativity and innovation.
  • 10+ years in sport and entertainment marketing, with proven senior leadership experience.
  • Track record of leading complex, high-profile brand campaigns.
  • Experience working with multinational or blue-chip brands across multiple sectors.
  • Global activation experience is preferable.
