WestwayTrustisacharitythatstewardsthe23-acresofspaceundertheWestwayflyoverandworkstogetherwiththelocalcommunitytoenableNorthKensingtontothrive.Wededicateourselvestothesocial,environmentalandeconomicwellbeingofthisvibrantcommunity.Todeliverourambitionsweworkwithover60memberorganisationsrangingfromcommunitygroupsandresidents'associationstoschoolsandsportsclubs,aswellasotherlocalgroupsandpeople.
Theestateishometomorethanthreeacresofpublicgreenspace,120tenantsincludingmorethan20charitiesandnon-profitorganisations,twosportsandfitnessfacilities,48lightindustrialunits,34offices,32shops,communitystablesandaskatepark.
WorkingwithlocalpeoplewewantNorthKensingtontocontinuetobeaplaceoflearningandopportunityforpeopletobephysicallyactive;participateinartsandculture;accesseconomicopportunities;andliveinagreenandhealthyenvironment.Ourengagementiswithallacrosstheagerange,asweknowhowimportantinputintheearlyyearscanbe.

Thepurposeofthisroleistomanage,developandexpandourNurseryandCrcheservicesworkingcollaborativelywiththeimmediateteam,otherrelevantstaff,commissioners,partnersandstakeholders.
ReportingtotheSeniorManagerLearning,leadingrelevantteams,andworkingcloselywithexternalpartners,thisroleiskeytopositioningtheTrustasaproviderofaffordablevitalandculturallyappropriateservices.
Thisentailstheoverallmanagementandorganisationofthestaffteamandtheirduties,includingensuringgoodconnectivitywiththeoverallorganisation.Engagementwithstatutoryregulators,commissioners,andpartnersandensuringgoodliaisonupwardswithintheorganisationalstructure.Gatheringandsharingexamplesofgoodpractice;seekingnewopportunities,contributingtoexpansionplans,andtimelyandaccuratemonitoringandreporting.
AffordableNurseryandCrcheservicesaremuchneededwithinNorthKensingtonandwewanteveryonetofeelwelcomeandproudofourservices.Wewantthemtochooseourservicesfirst,knowingthemtobesafeandcleanandtofacilitateexcellentlearningforyoungpeople.

Liaisonwithallrelevantmembersofstafftoensuremaximisingtheteamsopportunitiesforemployment,personalandprofessionaldevelopmentandorganisationalengagement.
Develop,monitorandreviewactivitiestoensurehighstandardsofchildcareandlearning.
QualityassureanddevelopandimproveservicestomaintainandimproveourOfstedposition.
ToapplyallTrustpoliciestotheserviceandidentifyanddevelopanybespokepoliciesthatmayberequired.
Attendbudgetplanningwiththefinanceteamtoensureafullunderstandingofthebudget;goodbudgetmanagementandastrongout-turninlinewiththegrowthstrategy.
Keepappropriaterecordsofallchildrenandaccountfortheirsocialandindividualdevelopmentalneeds.
MonitorandreportagainstthedeliveryobjectivesoftheserviceprovidingobservationandfeedbacktoNurseryandCrcheworkerssothattheycanimprovetheirowndirectplanninganddeliveryandqualifications.
WorkwiththeMarketingandCommunicationsteamtoensuregoodcollateralformedia,marketing,recruitment,communications,brandingandengagement.
ProvidedataasrequiredforreportinginternallytoyourlinemanagerandthroughtheTrustsGovernance,andexternally.
RepresentWestwayTrustateventsandactivitiesinyourfield.
ContributetothewiderTrustactivitiesencouragingtheengagementofyourteam/s.
YouwillbeanenergeticandenthusiasticindividualwithacommitmenttoworkingcollaborativelywithallcolleaguesandwiththepeopleofNorthKensington.YouwillbekeentoseetheNurseryandCrcheservicesoftheTrustexpandanddevelopandgrowthecapacityandopportunitiesforstaff.
Essentialqualification,knowledgeandexperience:
Youwilldemonstrate:
RelevantqualificationinchildcareataminimumLevel4.
Minimum2yearsexperienceofmanagingaNurserywithexperienceofalltherelevantduties,monitoring,reportingandqualityimprovement.
Level3Safeguardingqualification.
ExperienceofbeingthemaincontactforOfsted.
Atrackrecordofworkingcollaborativelywithcolleagues,partnersandstakeholderstodevelopsuccessfulpartnerships,growth,andachievejointsuccess.
Strongexperienceofplanningahead,scheduling,attentiontodetailandproblemsolving.
Experienceofworkingwithateam,sometimesdealingwithmomentsofhighpressure.
Experienceofmanagingstaffandsupportingtheirdevelopment.
Experienceofmanagingresourcesandbudgets.
