Client Director – Marine Hull (Hybrid)

Aon’s Global Broking Centre is recruiting a Client Director/Broker for the Marine Hull team based in London. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work both virtually and from the London office.

Responsibilities

  • Client management and broking, serving a worldwide portfolio of clients on a wholesale and retail basis, including renewals and new business.
  • Leading renewal strategy meetings and delivering London market insurer roadshows that showcase market outperformance for clients.
  • Understanding client business and insurance requirements and providing technical advice.
  • Leading reviews of client risks, preparing underwriting presentations, and tailoring MRCs to meet optimal coverage.
  • Proactively contributing to portfolio growth, developing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading winning tenders.
  • Managing market relationships, developing new ones in support of the Marine broking strategy.
  • Negotiating terms, obtaining quotations and placing new and renewal business within London/International markets, including facilities.
  • Working closely with Marine clients to ensure global best practice is achieved.

General Tasks

  • Use of PPL and other London market / Aon proprietary systems.
  • File maintenance and management including marketing sheets.
  • ECM/critical document/KPI management.
  • Providing checklists/instructions/calculations to Client Service Delivery and Processing Teams.

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent technical knowledge in Marine Hull & Builders Risks.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in layering complex programmes.
  • Organised, prioritising work accurately and on time.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and use data effectively.
  • Excellent relationships and knowledge of London and global insurance markets.
  • Ability to use insurance industry IT systems and understand processes to efficiently deliver client service.
  • Good analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and with network offices.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism.
