The Opportunity:
As a Development Physician, you will oversee the design and delivery of clinical trials within late-phase programs or multiple early-phase programs in the Immuno-Oncology group. You will act as a clinical team lead, providing strategic and operational oversight, and supporting collaboration across functions. This role reports to the Medical Head, IOD, Oncology Development, and can be based in the UK, major EU markets, or Mexico City, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance clinical trials.
- Serve as Medical Monitor, ensuring patient safety and managing safety documentation.
- Coordinate safety assessments, dose planning, and safety management for trials.
- Develop clinical protocols and regulatory documents, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Lead clinical trial development, strategy, and execution in line with asset goals.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Extensive experience in clinical trial design and execution in the pharmaceutical industry or academia.
- Proven ability to manage high-quality trials efficiently.
- Experience in global team environments and pharmacovigilance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Board certification and patient treatment experience.
- Specialization in oncology, especially gastroesophageal, thoracic, or immuno-oncology.
- Experience in clinical development from discovery to marketing.
- Experience with regulatory submissions and defenses.
Education:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with current or prior license to practice medicine.
Additional Information:
This is a permanent, full-time role following a hybrid working model, requiring at least 2 days per week in the office. Candidates should be located within a commutable distance to the office.
