A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Clinical Director role at a brand-new, independent veterinary practice in the heart of Berkshire. This is a truly unique chance to shape and lead a modern, fully refurbished clinic from the ground up, with real potential for future partnership. The building is already set up as a veterinary practice and requires only cosmetic updates and personalisation, giving you the perfect blank canvas to create something exceptional.
The vision is to grow into a 2.5–3 FTE practice—offering a close-knit team environment with space to scale sustainably. As Clinical Director, you’ll have the freedom and support to shape the clinical direction, establish protocols, select equipment, and most importantly, build and develop a talented and passionate team around you.
Responsibilities
- Be at the centre of decision-making from day one, including recruiting new team members and finalising the clinic’s setup.
- Ensure high clinical standards and client care from the outset.
- Collaborate closely with practice management on business development and practice growth, bringing ideas and vision to life.
- Shape the clinical direction, establish protocols, select equipment, and lead the team.
- Provide leadership and development for veterinary staff and support a growing practice.
Qualifications
- Experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a strong clinical background.
- Prior leadership experience in roles such as Senior Vet, Clinical Lead, or Clinical Director is preferred.
- Passionate about delivering outstanding patient care with an entrepreneurial mindset to help grow and shape the business.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the drive to take ownership of the project.
