A leading UK residential developer is seeking a strategic Construction Director to join its senior leadership team. This is a high-impact role with the chance to shape nationwide projects across build-to-rent, co-living, and student accommodation sectors. Candidates can reside anywhere in the UK, but must be prepared to travel to projects across the country as required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
  • Drive operational excellence and proactive problem-solving across sites.
  • Mentor and develop construction teams while fostering strong stakeholder and subcontractor relationships.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and team performance initiatives.

About You

  • Experienced hands-on leader in construction delivery, ideally across varied project types.
  • Strong commercial mindset and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder.
  • Passionate about quality, innovation, and team development.
  • (Desirable) Experience in student accommodation or build-to-rent projects.

Certifications & Skills (preferred)

  • SMSTS, First Aid, Scaffolding, CSCS Card
