What you will do:
- Manage an active portfolio of commercial banking customers and grow the bank through new customer acquisition.
- Develop and implement a business plan, addressing internal risk challenges, external market conditions, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of risk management, including Credit, Operational, and Regulatory risks.
- Build and maintain influential relationships with key market professionals.
- Collaborate across Metro Bank to ensure a unified approach for customers and colleagues.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver propositions, pricing, risk policies, and reporting aligned with risk appetites.
- Serve as a role model within the Large Trading Business Team and Metro Bank in customer, intermediary, and colleague interactions.

What you will need:
- Understanding of risk management and its implications for stakeholders.
- Proven relationship management skills and sector expertise in commercial/corporate banking.
- Strong credit underwriting skills, with experience lending to large SMEs and Mid-Corporates.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management aspects.
- Experience in developing and growing valuable banking relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence senior management.
- Knowledge of various industries and sectors, with sound decision-making skills.
