A prestigious not-for-profit with a proud legacy are looking for a Deputy Director of Finance to help guide the finance team and shape its financial future.This is a senior leadership role at the heart of the organisation. You’ll lead a talented Finance team, partner with colleagues across departments, and bring clarity and insight to the decisions that influence long-term sustainability and impact.From financial planning and reporting to systems improvement and capital investment, your work will be instrumental in ensuring the business remains resilient, forward-looking, and aligned with its values.Responsibilities:Lead and develop a Finance team including four direct reportsDrive financial strategy, planning, and forecasting aligning with the business’ goalsManage cashflow, treasury, and capital investment decisions with rigour and foresight.Lead the annual planning and budgeting cycles working closely with budget holdersChampion systems and process improvements, with a focus on automation and efficiency.Act as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, providing clear, insightful financial analysis and risk reporting.Oversee statutory accounts, audit, and compliance with tax and regulatory frameworks including VAT and Gift-aidWhat we are looking for:A qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with senior-level experienceStrong technical knowledge, including Charity SORP, VAT, and Gift Aid.A track record of leading finance functions in complex environments, ideally through change.Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial data into strategic insight.A collaborative, inclusive approach and a commitment to their mission and values.Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ideally experience with finance systems such as SageThe role is a full-time position as a Director in the Finance and Accounting/Auditing function, based in the London Area, United Kingdom. #J-18808-Ljbffr
