Job overview
“A key role that will help shape the continued success of a leading NHS Foundation Trust”
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in the Care Groups of Haematology and Cancer Services and Specialised Medicine and Rehabilitation, for a senior nurse to undertake the role of Deputy Nurse Director.
We are seeking applications from experienced senior nurses who have demonstrable acute clinical experience, dynamic leadership skills and who are highly motivated with a desire to progress in their nursing career.
Recent changes to the Care Group arrangements have resulted in a separation of services into two core care group functions, Haematology and Cancer Services (HaSC) and Specialised Medicine and Rehabilitation Services (SMR). Our services include a range of outpatient, inpatient, day case and community-based services, creating an opportunity for the right candidate to gain invaluable experience working across a broad range of NHS and specialist commissioned services.
Main duties of the job
Attributes should include proven leadership skills and the ability to demonstrate evidence of leading and managing change in a dynamic and challenging environment.
The post holder will be able to demonstrate experience of working effectively in a complex, multi professional environment within an acute hospital setting.
The post holder will actively lead and manage the governance agenda, working closely with the medical quality leads and the care group governance coordinators, providing support and advice relating to clinical and non-clinical risk. You will support the Nurse Director and Associate Nurse Director across the full range of duties, providing strong leadership and professional advice to the multi professional team to enable the delivery of high quality patient centred services and care.
The successful candidate will be expected to represent nursing at Trust and National level and will lead on specific projects and work streams on behalf of the Care Group, deputising for the Nurse Director in her absence.
Working for our organisation
You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its employees. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.
