This position is for a Digital Content Director in the United Kingdom or South Africa.
As a Digital Content Director, you will lead the creation and refinement of digital storytelling for a global luxury brand in the diamond and jewellery industry. You'll oversee a talented team of content professionals, ensuring every piece aligns with the brand's tone, visual identity, and SEO strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of luxury communication, editorial precision, and performance-driven storytelling.
Accountabilities
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of digital content projects across web and social platforms, ensuring consistent quality and tone
- Establish efficient workflows, project operations, and clear accountability structures for content teams
- Develop and refine digital content strategies in collaboration with SEO and social media specialists
- Lead on gathering and applying insights from search, social, and market trends to guide editorial decisions
- Define and uphold editorial tone of voice, ensuring alignment with brand standards and audience expectations
- Support new business initiatives by contributing to content strategy, written copy, and editorial best practices
- Mentor and manage multidisciplinary teams, providing guidance on storytelling, performance, and creative excellence
- Collaborate closely with strategy, editorial, and digital PR leads to streamline operations and maintain high-quality content delivery
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading and developing high-performing content or editorial teams
- Proven expertise in digital storytelling, social media, and omnichannel content strategy
- Strong understanding of SEO, performance content, and using data insights to drive measurable engagement
- Experience working with luxury, lifestyle, or high-end brands — particularly within the jewellery or fashion industries
- Skilled in adapting tone and storytelling for diverse audiences and international markets (US, UK, EU)
- Excellent leadership, collaboration, and mentoring abilities, with a focus on empowering creative teams
- Global mindset and ability to operate in a multicultural, fast-paced environment
