Overview
The Director, Business Development in Aviation Training Solutions (SaaS) is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence of SaaS training solutions in the Aviation industry.
This role involves developing strategies to secure new clients, increase SaaS market share in AVSEC, forge partnerships with government officials, and stay ahead of competitors.
A key focus is ensuring our screener AVSEC SaaS products meet aviation security regulations, providing compliant training and assessment solutions.
The role requires extensive experience in screener training, industry regulations, and scaling SaaS solutions.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth:
- Develop and implement growth strategies to expand SaaS revenue and market share.
- Build sales pipelines entering new markets.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Upsell and cross-sell SaaS solutions.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Lead weekly SaaS program meetings.
- Enhance customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Sales & Tender Management:
- Oversee the SaaS sales cycle from lead generation to closure.
- Negotiate high-value deals and complex sales.
- Achieve KPIs like lead conversion and revenue growth.
- Manage bids and tenders for government contracts.
- Develop proposals for public sector contracts.
- Secure relevant government grants and funding.
Regulatory & Industry Expertise:
- Maintain understanding of AVSEC standards and how SaaS supports compliance.
- Build relationships with regulatory bodies and partners.
- Translate regulations into actionable training sales.
Analytics & Data:
- Develop industry performance reports.
- Implement training analytics dashboards.
- Use data insights to improve strategies and product features.
- Report performance metrics to executives.
Marketing & Communications:
- Collaborate with marketing for campaigns.
- Create marketing content highlighting compliance and expertise.
- Drive brand awareness and lead generation.
- Represent the company at industry events.
Qualifications & Experience
- Additional certifications in sales, business development, or AVSEC are advantageous.
- Minimum 10 years in SaaS sales/business development.
- At least 5 years in aviation security training.
- Proven success in revenue growth and market expansion.
- Deep knowledge of AVSEC training standards and regulations.
- Experience in public sector proposals and compliance.
- Strong data analytics skills.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain UK security clearances.
- Right to work in the UK and ability to verify identity.
- Possibility of needing a UK work permit if not a UK passport holder.
