Director, Business Development, IQVIA Biotech

IQVIA is seeking a driven BD professional to work within Biotech, providing customized Phase I through IV services globally, across multiple therapeutic areas. The role is based anywhere in Europe.

Join us to build trusted relationships, expand our client portfolio, and lead end-to-end discussions across the IQVIA portfolio to move beyond transactional sales.

Responsibilities

  • Sell the entire IQVIA solution portfolio across Clinical (Phase I–IV) to Biotech clients and close larger value deals.
  • Engage credibly at C-Suite level with biotech clients and align internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Develop robust account strategies, gather competitive intelligence, and drive superior execution to identify, drive, and expand business across the clinical solution portfolio.
  • Position end-to-end offerings in higher-level discussions, moving from transactional sales to enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Collaborate across the organization to build relationships internally and externally; leverage the broader IQVIA platform to meet client needs.
  • Hit the ground running with an established network in relevant markets; demonstrate drive and resilience with a track record in R&D/Clinical and business development.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of related experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment.
  • At least 10 years’ experience as a BD Director in a CRO environment.
  • Understanding of the clinical process (PH I – IV).
  • Solid understanding of commercialization and the principles of drug discovery and development.
  • Detailed understanding of the Biotech market.
  • Strong intellect and analytical acuity with the ability to define, conceptualize and sell the company’s integrated clinical solution portfolio.
  • Strong hunting skills to open new relationships and broaden opportunities within existing client bases.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization with sophisticated relationship-building skills, both internal and external.
