About the Role

Your primary responsibility is to acquire new clients in Europe and generate incremental revenues for the company. You will dedicate significant effort to understanding potential clients, sustaining relationships, analyzing client operations, and collaborating with management and cross‑functional teams to leverage best practices and deliver high‑quality sales outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and apply Nium’s market‑leading propositions across banking, financial services, cards, e‑commerce, and payments.
  • Identify, secure, and manage relationships with clients across Europe, effectively negotiating and persuading them of the value Nium brings.
  • Exhibit a constant drive to surpass past performance by achieving financial targets, generating sales leads, negotiating, and closing transactions.
  • Generate revenue, meet or exceed pre‑agreed targets on customer flows, sales, and profitability.
  • Employ consultative selling skills with a results orientation to achieve assigned financial and customer‑satisfaction goals.
  • Proactively hunt opportunities through direct contact and partners, building relationships with key players, influencing decision‑makers, and closing deals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years proven track record in business development or sales in payments, e‑commerce, cards, financial services, fintech or banking go‑to‑market in Europe.
  • Strong history of outperforming commercial targets in past sales roles.
  • Ability to independently source deals in regional banks and build a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Commercial focus with a pragmatic approach to identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.
  • Empathy for individual customers, acting as a problem‑solver and tailoring solutions accordingly.
  • Data‑driven and analytical mindset.
  • Results‑oriented, client‑focused, and obsessed with delivering value.
  • Self‑motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a global team.
