You will bring extensive experience, a passion for client service, and a strong record in sales, entrepreneurship, and team leadership. This role is ideal for someone who excels in building client relationships, delivering high-profile projects, and developing junior talent, while collaborating with technology partners and organizations.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a senior healthcare leader, shaping and delivering data and AI solutions for NHS and healthcare clients, with a focus on exceptional client service.Lead complex programmes such as NHS Federated Data Platform, NHS Wales National Data Resource, Single Patient Record, Foresight AI, NHS Research Secure Data Environment Network, and similar.Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to junior team members, fostering growth and a client-first culture.Build and manage relationships with NHS stakeholders, alliance partners (Microsoft, Google Cloud, Databricks, Palantir Foundry), subcontractors, and internal teams.Drive business development through bid writing, bid management, and sales success.Oversee delivery teams, ensuring technical excellence and translating complex ideas into insights for clients.Stay current with data technologies and AI, ensuring NHS compliance and delivering value.Essential Experience & QualificationsExtensive experience in data, analytics, and/or AI, with significant NHS or UK health sector experience.Proven track record on large-scale projects like NHS Federated Data Platform, National Data Resource, Single Patient Record, Foresight AI, etc.Exceptional sales, bid writing, and management skills.Hands-on experience with cloud and analytics platforms, especially Palantir Foundry, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and Databricks.Ability to coach and develop junior talent and collaborate across organizations.Excellent communication skills, engaging senior stakeholders and translating technical topics.Deep understanding of NHS data governance and compliance.DesirableCertifications in cloud/data platforms.Experience with digital transformation, federated data, or national data/AI programmes.Knowledge of AI/ML regulatory and healthcare implementation challenges.Personal AttributesPassionate about client service and healthcare transformation.Strong leader, collaborator, and mentor.Analytical, results-oriented, and mission-driven.Committed to delivering value and excellence.If you are a proven leader passionate about healthcare data and AI, we want to hear from you.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeOtherJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesBusiness Consulting and ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at KPMG UK by 2x.Get notified about new Director of Artificial Intelligence jobs in United Kingdom.
