Job Description At Brambles, sustainability is not just a priorityits a strategic imperative. Backed by Board-level commitment and integrated into our Global Supply Chain and Brambles of the Future strategy, our decarbonisation efforts are central to our business success and stakeholder trust. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering on our public emissions reduction targets and advancing our Regenerative Supply Chain ambition.
As the Regional Lead for Decarbonisation, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategic roadmap for Europe & AMETA. This includes CHEP and subcontractor operations, CHEP-operated fleets, and subcontracted transport decarbonisation levers. You will work cross-functionally to drive measurable progress across renewable electricity, electrification, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, waste solutions, water optimisation, and low/zero emissions vehicles. Key Responsibilities May Include:
Lead the definition of future roadmaps for decarbonisation levers, including renewable electricity, electrification, energy efficiency, alternative fuels, waste solutions, and low/zero emissions vehicles
Partner with relevant functions to identify and define specific decarbonisation opportunities and execute procurement elements of initiatives
Develop new or improved SOPs and business practices to advance decarbonisation objectives
Analyze market trends, barriers, and enablers associated with industrial decarbonisation technologies
Coordinate and consolidate reporting of progress against a future roadmap, maintaining centralized reporting on decarbonisation dashboards
Coordinate the yearly revision of the Decarbonisation Financial Plan, gathering input from relevant cross-functional areas
Support the delivery of Brambles Climate Smart Partners program in the respective region
Inform the development and iteration of goals and objectives based on technical understanding of technologies and market needs
Additional Responsibilities
Provide strategic direction and lead initiatives to meet Brambles public sustainability commitments
Influence change management across the region to embed a low-carbon, regenerative mindset in decision-making
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regional legislation and funding opportunities related to climate and sustainability
Engage with customers and industry coalitions to foster collaboration and share best practices
Represent Brambles at internal and external sustainability forums and events
Support supplier engagement programs and contribute to cross-regional knowledge sharing
About the Person
8+ years in Supply Chain, with strong exposure to logistics and transportation
Deep knowledge of decarbonization technologies, especially in road freight (e.g., TCO, infrastructure, deployment feasibility)
Proven success in developing and executing decarbonization roadmaps
Familiarity with waste management and water optimization solutions
Understanding of carbon accounting (GHG Protocol, GLEC Framework)
Experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, and cross-functional collaboration
Strong project and change management skills
Financial acumen, including cost modelling and budget oversight
Skilled communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders
Comfortable working in a matrixed, multicultural environment
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required
Additional qualifications in Sustainability or Finance are a plus
