McBride Sport is a specialist executive search firm partnering with leading rights holders, governing bodies, agencies, brands, and investors across the global sports industry. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Executive Search Director/Senior Search Consultant to join our high-performing team. This is a senior client-facing position, suited to a dynamic, commercially minded search professional with a passion for the sports industry. You will lead retained executive and non-executive search assignments across a variety of functional areas (e.g., commercial, marketing, operations, governance, C-suite), helping our clients attract and secure transformative talent. You’ll play a critical role in further developing our already broad client list and provide an additional credible point of contact for existing relationship as well as delivering business development activity, client advisory, and exemplary assignment delivery — shaping hiring strategies for some of the most influential organisations in sport. Due to the specialist nature of our work, we are only considering candidates who meet the following criteria:

Criteria

  • Proven experience in retained executive search (minimum 5 years), ideally with exposure to the sports, media, entertainment, or adjacent sectors
  • Track record of managing senior-level search mandates from pitch to placement
  • Strategic, consultative approach with outstanding client management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative environment
  • A strong network within the sports ecosystem is highly desirable or a demonstrable ability to build one quickly

Responsibilities

  • Lead retained executive and non-executive search assignments across functional areas (e.g., commercial, marketing, operations, governance, C-suite)
  • Develop and manage client relationships, provide advisory support, and deliver high-quality assignment execution
  • Drive business development activity and expand the client portfolio
  • Contribute to shaping hiring strategies for influencing organisations in sport
