Ecosystems Knowledge Network (EKN) is recruiting a Director for Shared Learning. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a leading role in the stewardship of land, water and nature across the UK. At EKN, we connect and enable professionals from all sectors to harness the value of a healthy environment for everyone's well-being and prosperity. We are a dynamic team that works across England, Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland. We are looking for a strategic and collaborative person to play a key part in fulfilling our shared learning mission. This includes excellence in the fulfilment commissioned work, including on nature finance.
The role
- Hours: 30 or 37.5 per week (0.8 full-time will be considered)
- Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per year FTE.
- Location: Hybrid with regular meetings in London or Oxfordshire

Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership across key areas of EKN’s mission, driving impact across the organisation.
- Deliver assigned projects with excellence, ensuring alignment with EKN’s values and mission. This includes commissioned work relating to nature finance.
- Design, organise, and facilitate seminars, workshops, and conferences, both online and in-person.
- Support the development of paid learning services, such as training programmes and e-learning modules, tailored to diverse audiences.
- Lead and proactively seek commissioned projects, contributing to EKN’s financial sustainability and sector influence.
- Facilitate shared learning, foster collaboration, and build strategic partnerships across the Network.
- Represent EKN at external events, cultivating new relationships and generating ideas for future initiatives.
- Contribute to the smooth operation and strategic development of the Network, supporting its long-term vision and organisational effectiveness.

- A strategic thinker, but able to be ‘hands on’ with undertaking tasks in a small team.
Qualifications, skills and experience
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to engage diverse types of professional.
- Proven experience in communicating with diverse audiences of professionals.
- Involvement in the advancement of funding and finance for the stewardship of land, water and nature, including via nature markets and associated investment.
- Skilled in delivering training to colleagues and clients, with a focus on shared learning and capacity building.
- Highly organised and adaptable, capable of prioritising tasks in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
- Experience working in dynamic, public-facing organisations, with a strong understanding of stakeholder engagement.
