Fitch Group is currently seeking a Director, Inclusion and Community based out of our London office.
We are seeking a Director of Inclusion & Community for an exciting 12-month opportunity. This individual will play a vital role in consulting, embedding and evaluating solutions, products and programmes to deliver the Fitch’s Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy and Fitch Community Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Working with the Global Group Head of DEI & CSR, you will support building strong partnerships with senior leaders, colleagues, key stakeholder groups, and external partnerships while providing expert knowledge and expertise to advise on a range of strategic priorities relating to our business goals of growing our business ethically and sustainably. This is an exciting opportunity to bring fresh ideas and creative approaches to our evolving DEI & CSR strategies that impact every part of the organization.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Stakeholder Management
- Act as advisor and primary support for senior leaders engaged in Fitch’s Global Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, enabling strategic and operational excellence
- Consult with key stakeholders across the business to embed diversity, equity and inclusion principles into team culture and practices
- Partner with HR Business Partners to develop and implement business and segment-specific inclusion plans acting as a subject matter expert and advisor
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to develop ideas and solutions to enhance the ability to identify and select a talented, diverse workforce
- Identify, prioritize and develop organisational capabilities and behaviours to build an inclusive workplace in partnership with L&D
- Drive meaningful engagement and consultation with senior leaders engaged in Fitch’s CSR Steering Committee, enabling strong buy-in and support for the Fitch Community portfolio
Project Management & Delivery
- Deliver on key inclusion objectives and lead related projects including ensuring appropriate project management and engagement with stakeholders
- Support design and delivery of global Fitch Community flagship programs, establishing sustainable project plans, charity partnerships, and innovative solutions to deliver high impact volunteer experiences for Fitch colleagues
Policy and Process
- Evaluate and integrate concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion into policies, processes, standards, governance and learning
- Manage benchmarking, reporting and award requirement while serving as a point of contact with external inclusion-focused partnerships
- Coach and advise senior sponsors and chairs of our seven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to enable network maturity, cohesion, and optimal engagement with colleagues globally
- Support team to deploy robust CSR Champions Framework engaging colleagues globally to create meaningful local CSR engagements and volunteering opportunities
Research and Analysis
- Collate, analyse and evaluate diversity and inclusion metrics to measure initiatives and programmes to drive data driven recommendations and decision that drive cultural change and engage the business
- Develop proposals for innovative CSR programming designed to advance Fitch’s community-focused goals and position Fitch as a best-in-class organization for philanthropic responsibility efforts
- Monitor internal and external diversity, equity, inclusion trends and legal developments impacting policy and practice
- Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert on diversity, equity, and inclusion to the business
You May be a Good Fit if:
- University Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred e.g. DEI, Employee Relations, Psychology, Organizational Behaviour, Business Administration Sustainability, etc.
- Strong working knowledge of, and demonstrated experience in DEI, CSR, HR (e.g. Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, Employment Law) or Culture Change in organisations
- Considerable experience in project management capable or running a variety of projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment within tight timeframes and of a consistent high quality
- Ability to analyse complex data, identify interventions and build solutions that drive diversity, equity, inclusion and wellbeing
- Skilled influencer and excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Excellent communication, written and presentation skills with evidence of being able to communicate effectively at all levels
- Flexible and adaptable self-starter, comfortable operating and delivering successful outcomes within small teams
- Exemplary integrity, independence and resilience
What Would Make You Stand Out:
- Familiarity with the Financial Services industry
- Specialist knowledge of Equality Legislations and reporting (e.g. UK Equality Act 2010, EEO reporting) and experience of DEI issues, trends and best practices across a range of diversity dimensions (e.g. ethnicity, disability, LGBTQ+, generations) and variations across geographies
- Understanding of geographical and cultural difference and sensitivity
