The London Market Engineering & Delivery Lead has end-to-end ownership of products within their domain, primarily responsible for product development, delivery, and support. The incumbent provides guidance to engineering managers, software engineers, QA engineers, and business analysts. They drive software development across multiple teams and phases to ensure project execution, determine department priorities, and meet development and data management objectives.

Responsibilities include owning the strategic vision and roadmap for all products in the domain, capturing market and environmental trends, aligning technology with business strategies, conducting feasibility studies, producing business models, and preparing business cases. They ensure compliance with business strategies, enterprise transformation, and technology directions, setting policies, standards, and practices. The role involves overseeing the development of new/enhanced systems, monitoring the Software Development Lifecycle, and ensuring high support levels. Collaboration with customers, IT managers, and management is essential to maximize technological opportunities to improve business processes. The role also entails preparing financial analyses, evaluating new technologies based on strategic needs and resources, overseeing business analysis, development, and quality assurance, and contributing to IT standards and policies. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, participating in vendor evaluations, managing department budgets, and leading team recruitment, training, performance management, and recognition are also key aspects of the role.
