The Role
As a Business Development Director, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our business process services. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions that solve our customers’ biggest challenges. Working across our diverse divisions, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and execute strategies that deliver value for both the business and our customers.
Our customer is a major UK brand that has been relatively quiet in the Contact Centre/ BPO space. They are ready to disrupt the market and are rebuilding their Business Development/ Sales function from the ground up. The business has invested significantly in technology, bringing in leaders from Amazon, Microsoft, and Salesforce, and now boasts cutting-edge AI and digital capabilities. With onshore, nearshore, and offshore operations in place, a database of lapsed and dormant accounts, the market is waiting to be disrupted. This is all the excitement of a start-up or scale-up, with the funding and stability of a major player.
The business is undergoing a major transformation, with key leadership appointments that have strengthened diversity, including several key roles held by female executives. The business is committed to building a sales/BD team that reflects the diversity of our customers and the market, where every voice is valued.
The Ideal Person
We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about securing new business and thrives on autonomy. The ideal candidate will be:
- Commercially driven with a strong record of sales achievement.
- A self-starter with the tenacity and resilience to succeed in a remote, field-based role.
- A skilled relationship builder with a proven ability to close deals
- Driven by opportunity and vision, not just a financial package.
- Experienced in selling BPO solutions for 50-100 FTEs (this would be ideal but is not essential).
- Able to hit the ground running, with an existing network and opportunities to immediately start developing a pipeline (the “dream scenario”).
