This Director of Business Development will drive high-impact strategic initiatives across global markets, shaping partnerships and corporate growth opportunities. You will identify and secure collaborations with leading studios and organizations, structure complex deals, and support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments. The role combines relationship-building, financial acumen, and market insight to accelerate growth while positioning the company as a top-tier partner within the gaming ecosystem. You\'ll work closely with cross-functional teams, influence high-level decisions, and operate in a fast-paced, international environment where your initiatives directly shape business outcomes. Ideal candidates are strategic, analytical, and entrepreneurial, with a strong track record of closing high-value deals.
Accountabilities
- Identify, build, and maintain strategic partnerships with top studios, platforms, and industry stakeholders worldwide
- Structure and negotiate complex deals, including co-development, publishing, revenue-sharing, joint IP creation, and investment arrangements
- Source, evaluate, and execute mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic investment opportunities
- Develop financial models, market maps, and competitive analyses to support executive and Board-level decisions
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and private deal rooms, enhancing market positioning
- Track and analyze industry trends to inform strategy and anticipate shifts in gaming, adtech, and entertainment
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Data, Finance, Marketing) to identify capability gaps and acquisition targets
Requirements
- 8-12 years of experience in business development, corporate development, venture capital, private equity, or investment banking, preferably in gaming, entertainment, or technology
- Proven ability to originate, structure, and close high-value deals
- Deep network in the gaming industry, including studios, publishers, investors, and platform partners
- Strong analytical skills with experience in P&L models, valuations, and incentive alignment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build long-term trust and influence stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset: proactive, creative, and results-driven
- Experience with sourcing/executing M&A or strategic investments in gaming or adjacent industries
- Comfortable working in a high-stakes, fast-moving, and international environment
