Overview

We’re seeking a Director of Business Development to drive commercial expansion in the UK. This role is focused on building strategic partnerships and closing high-value enterprise deals in a fast-moving, competitive payments landscape. You’ll work with an experienced global leadership team and be part of defining the UK market entry strategy.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute the UK BD strategy focused on enterprise clients and platforms.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline across identified target verticals.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and solution definition to negotiation and go-live.
  • Pitch the company’s API-first payment platform to C-level executives at financial institutions and enterprises.
  • Structure and close complex commercial and legal agreements.
  • Feed market intelligence back into global product and GTM strategy.
  • Collaborate with Product, Compliance, Marketing, and Legal teams to ensure seamless delivery.

What you bring

  • 8+ years in business development or partnerships in fintech/payments.
  • Strong track record in closing complex enterprise deals.
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem (FX, issuing, acquiring, APIs).
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong execution.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills at senior levels.
  • Experience in regulated industries.
  • No background in adult, gambling, or crypto portfolios.
