*About Us*

We are a values-led, growing business based near Caerphilly. With a strong operational foundation and a capable Financial Controller in place, we’re now looking for an experienced Part-Time Finance Director to provide strategic financial guidance and mentoring one day per week. This role is ideal for a Finance Director or portfolio finance professional with a track record of developing people and driving good practice in an SME environment.

*The Role*

You will work closely with our Financial Controller and leadership team to ensure financial robustness, growth-readiness, and compliance. This is not a hands-off board role — we’re seeking someone who is hands-on, invested, and values the opportunity to mentor a developing team.

*Key Responsibilities* * Support and mentor the Financial Controller and junior team members * Oversee financial planning, forecasting, and reporting * Guide commercial decision-making with accurate, timely insights * Ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax obligations * Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and external advisors * Embed financial discipline and continuous improvement in systems and processes

*What We’re Looking For* * Qualified Finance Director (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) * Strong track record of developing finance talent and teams * Commercially sharp with practical, hands-on execution ability * High integrity, calm under pressure, and confident communicator * Ideally suited to someone at a senior stage in their career looking for impact without full-time commitment

*Tools & Systems We Use* * Salesforce CRM * Oracle NetSuite ERP * Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word) * Power BI for data and financial reporting
