Our client is a leading international PLC with a dynamic growth agenda and a strong reputation for operational and financial excellence. As part of continued expansion, the business is seeking to appoint a high-calibre Director of Financial Control and Reporting to join the Group Finance leadership team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is a key role overseeing financial reporting, control, and governance across a complex, multi-entity environment.

Description

The successful candidate will lead the Group’s financial accounting and reporting activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery under IFRS. You will take ownership of the consolidated reporting process, preparation of half-yearly and annual financial statements, and the submission of finance papers to the Audit & Risk Committee. A core element of the role will be driving continuous improvement in reporting systems, processes, and controls, promoting automation, efficiency, and the integration of advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning.

Alongside technical leadership, you will play a pivotal role in corporate finance, supporting cash flow forecasting, capital structure optimisation, and working capital management. This includes ownership of DSO performance and delivering initiatives to drive cash generation across the Group. The position carries significant exposure to senior management and the Board, and offers the opportunity to influence both strategic and operational decision-making at the Group level.

Skills

We are seeking an exceptionally qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with extensive experience in IFRS reporting and financial control within a complex, listed, multi-entity environment. You will combine deep technical expertise with commercial acumen, strong leadership capability, and a proven track record of managing high-performing finance teams. Experience of working in an international organisation with robust governance requirements is essential.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong and strategically minded finance leader to join a high-growth global business at a pivotal stage in its evolution.
