Overview

Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) at Learning Pool. This is a broad, high-impact leadership role with full responsibility for FP&A, data, and analytics. You will be a key strategic partner to the CFO and senior leadership, translating business objectives into financial clarity, actionable insights, and measurable performance. Location: Remote (preferably within the UK).

What you will be doing

  • Translate strategy into clear business targets, underpinned by robust KPIs across the short, medium, and long term
  • Partner with the senior leadership team to surface and prioritise key business challenges and opportunities
  • Develop and embed KPIs, reporting frameworks, and dashboards across the organisation
  • Build and maintain a ‘single source of truth’ across data and analytics platforms
  • Introduce effective performance management structures to promote accountability and alignment
  • Lead the financial forecasting process across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles
  • Support resource planning and drive operational efficiency
  • Use data and analysis to inform action and strategic decision-making
  • Play an active role in identifying and evaluating M&A opportunities as part of the company’s long-term growth strategy

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven SaaS experience is essential, ideally in a fast-scaling or PE-backed environment
  • Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, performance management, and data-led decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and scale KPI frameworks and reporting infrastructure
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working with investors, boards, and senior leadership teams
  • Hands-on expertise in data modelling, visualisation, and analytics tools
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced setting with a strong outcomes focus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and its role in business performance and data integration
