About CCMS We are responsible for: Promoting the effective management of Catholic maintained schools by their Boards of Governors Appointing teachers and school leaders Planning sustainable school provision We operate with a values-driven culture, committed to the holistic development of every child and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The Opportunity: Director of HR & Governance In this high-profile role, you will provide strategic leadership to CCMS and oversee a range of internal and school-facing HR and governance functions that are critical to childrens education. Main Responsibilities: Shape and lead HR & Governance functions across CCMS and Catholic maintained schools Oversee staff recruitment, retention, professional development, and workforce planning Support and guide Boards of Governors to enable effective school management and accountability Lead the appointment of teachers and school leaders, ensuring fairness and high standards Collaborate with stakeholders to influence educational strategy and policy in areas such as industrial relations, professional development, and workforce planning Identify and drive innovation and improvements in HR and governance services Build and sustain partnerships with external bodies and the wider school community Champion integrity, respect, and inclusivity in all aspects of your work What Youll Bring: Proven strategic leadership in HR, governance, or education Experience working with diverse stakeholders and building strong partnerships Commitment to values-led practice and child-centred outcomes Ability to innovate, drive improvement, and manage change Excellent communication and influencing skills Why Join CCMS?
