About the Role

We are seeking highly respected professionals to join our Advisory Board as Directors of Industry Engagement. These senior voluntary roles will represent the IUSCA across key global regions (US, UK, Europe, Asia, Australia/New Zealand) and will be tasked with further expanding our engagement into universities, professional sport, performance organisations, governing bodies, and industry.

As a Director of Industry Engagement, you will act as an ambassador for the IUSCA, helping to establish and strengthen connections with leading organisations and professionals, ensuring the continued growth and global impact of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary representative of IUSCA within your region.
  • Establish and develop relationships with key industry organisations, professional teams, and practitioners.
  • Identify opportunities for partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships.
  • Provide insight into regional industry trends, workforce needs, and emerging opportunities.
  • Advocate for IUSCA at regional conferences, events, and within professional networks.
  • Contribute to IUSCA’s mission of connecting academia and industry through global standards and education pathways.

Person Specification

Essential Criteria:

  • Significant professional experience in strength and conditioning, sport science, or a related field.
  • Strong network and influence within your regional industry.
  • Proven ability to build and manage high-level professional relationships.
  • Excellent communication and ambassadorial skills.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the IUSCA.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous leadership experience within national or international organisations.
  • Accreditation as a senior S&C practitioner (e.g., IUSCA mISCP, NSCA RSCC*D, ASCA Level 3).
  • Experience bridging academia and applied industry environments.
