Director of Infrastructure & Waste Services

We are recruiting a Director of Infrastructure & Waste Services at Caerphilly County Borough Council.

Working hours: 37 hours per week

Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Penallta House

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation.

Salary: £101,443 – £112,480

You will lead the delivery of the Council's Infrastructure & Waste Service in terms of strategy and management, ensuring high-quality, customer-focused services and supporting the Council's strategic direction.

Strategic lead for the following service areas:

• Infrastructure
• Highways
• Transportation
• Traffic Management and Road Safety
• Drainage / SAB
• Recycling, Waste & Cleansing
• Building Cleaning
• Catering

You will set, model, and embed a culture that reflects the organisation's values and behaviours, developing strong working relationships to overcome obstacles. Your leadership will support staff to deliver services that make a tangible difference to our customers.

For The Role, We Ask That You Have

• A professional degree qualification in a relevant discipline, and a postgraduate management qualification.
• Chartered Membership of a recognised professional institution.
• Knowledge of policy and operational issues facing Infrastructure and Waste services and local government generally.
• Experience of Senior Management and Leadership.
