Director of Operations

Founded in 2020, Resolution Therapeutics is pioneering regenerative macrophage therapy in inflammatory and fibrotic diseases. With locations in Hammersmith, London, and at the Centre for Regenerative Medicine on the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary Campus, Resolution originated from a unique collaboration between Edinburgh’s Centre for Regenerative Medicine, the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, and Syncona Investment Management Limited. Backed by Syncona, a leading healthcare investor, our initial focus is on developing transformative macrophage cell therapies for advanced liver fibrosis, a large and growing unmet medical need with no therapies available to patients other than liver transplantation, a complex surgery available to a minority of patients. Today, Resolution is in the clinic with RTX001 for end-stage liver disease, and is expanding the technology into other inflammatory and fibrotic diseases including lung fibrosis and GvHD.
Our Culture & Values:
At Resolution, we bring together a diverse, multidisciplinary team—spanning scientists, business professionals, support staff, and entrepreneurs—all united by our mission to tackle unmet medical needs. Our culture is defined by a WINNING MINDSET, a BOLD approach, working as ONETEAM, and unwavering INTEGRITY. We put patients first and pride ourselves on fostering collaboration, intellectual honesty, inclusivity, and a positive, can-do attitude.
The Opportunity:
As Director of Operations, you’ll be central to driving the efficiency, integration, and resilience of our business. You’ll oversee daily operations, implement and improve processes, and ensure the seamless execution of company initiatives. You’ll own contract and vendor management—leading negotiations, onboarding suppliers, and monitoring performance. Working closely with Unit Heads and the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll have a significant impact on strategic planning and operational delivery.
In addition, you will:
Support IT and digital infrastructure, overseeing rollout of enterprise tools and ensuring data integrity and compliance.
Collaborate with PR agencies and internal teams on media, branding, and investor communications.
Lead cross-company operational initiatives, underpinning our next stage of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading operational management and process improvement across the organisation.
Implement tools and processes to support operations across functions.
End-to-end contract management (drafting, negotiating, compliance) together with contract initiation, review, signature and lifecycle management processes.
Vendor identification, onboarding, and performance oversight within budget, ensuring complete integration of vendor work orders into project plans.
Supporting corporate and R&D IT system design, implementation, and compliance.
Collaborating on public relations, marketing, and investor materials.
Supporting business strategy, procurement, project management, and funding preparation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
7+ years operational experience, ideally in series A-B-C biotech companies
A self-starter with experience in operational leadership (ideally in the life sciences)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong project management ability
A passion for building and optimising systems
Location:
London or Edinburgh
