We’re seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to join our senior leadership team and drive operational excellence, ensuring our customers receive best-in-class service while maximising efficiency and profitability.

The Role
As the Director of Operations, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of all aspects of our UK operations, from fleet management to service delivery, whilst ensuring the highest standards of health and safety compliance.
This role has a key focus on improving system efficiency, engineering leadership and commercial strategy. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations, managing the deployment of people and assets across nationwide multi-site B2B operations, ensuring seamless delivery at customer sites.
- Maximise System Efficiency: Leverage our systems (BigChange and Insphire) to their full potential, implementing industry best practice to streamline processes, enhance automation, and drive digitisation across the end-to-end operational workflow.
- Fleet Management & Commercial Focus: Take ownership of our HVAC fleet, optimising stock utilisation, increasing rental frequency, and boosting margins through to ensure maximum efficiency and value.
- Champion Health & Safety: Embed a genuine safety culture by leading with the highest standards of health and safety compliance (NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health and Safety & IOSH Managing Safely required).
- Drive Service Excellence: Deliver exceptional engineering standards and customer-centric solutions, supporting sales to close opportunities, retain business, and deepen client relationships.
- Innovate & Improve: Continuously monitor performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement innovative tools to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a commercially astute leader with a proven track record in operational leadership and a passion for delivering results. You’ll bring:
- HVAC Engineering Expertise: Mechanical engineering qualifications or experience, ideally in the installation and operation of complex chiller and/or boiler solutions, including fuel supply management.
- Operational Leadership: Experience managing nationwide multi-site B2B operations in an engineering services environment, with a focus on delivering within budget.
- System Optimisation Skills: Knowledge of best practice for operational systems (e.g., BigChange, Insphire) to maximise efficiency through automation and digitisation.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of fleet performance metrics, including stock utilisation rates, revenue generation, and strategies to increase rental frequency and margins.
- Strategic Vision: Evidence of contributing to long-term strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting within a senior leadership team, with a track record of managing operational and commercial risks.
- Leadership & Inspiration: Proven ability to lead and inspire teams in a fast-paced, dynamic business, fostering a culture of respect, accountability, teamwork, commitment, and integrity.
