The "Grid Automation (GA) Protection & Control" Director Product Manager drives the overall business strategy of the GA mainstream products portfolio, focusing on market demand, product management, and technology differentiation. He/She will have direct responsibility over the product management and the technology development of a portfolio generating approximately $1B in revenues, leveraging a team of around 500 domain experts and optimizing the allocation of about $50M of R&D spend.
The leader will oversee the industrialization, go-to-market strategy, and commercial development of the portfolio, interacting with the Grid Automation supply chain, regions, customers, and industry leaders.
The leader will also collaborate within the broader GE Vernova, Electrification segment, and Grid teams to maximize synergy, cross-business initiatives, impact, and performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop customer connections, understand industry trends, and identify growth opportunities in related segments.
- Define the "GA Protection & Control" strategy, product/solution roadmaps, and business cases.
- Drive technology differentiation and roadmap in coordination with the GA CTO.
- Manage end-to-end NPI programs and execution.
- Oversee product and solution lifecycle management in coordination with GA regions and the global supply chain.
- Partner with GA regions to define marketing, growth, delivery, and service strategies.
- Build an efficient organizational structure and diverse teams. Develop talent and capabilities to support individual growth and maximize business performance.
- Develop internal and external relationships to lead or support cross-portfolio initiatives and projects.
- Contribute to the long-term strategy of Grid Automation in coordination with the GA CTO.
- Propose partnerships and acquisitions to support business growth initiatives.
- Master's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience/knowledge.
- Extensive experience in product management, technology development, and/or business management.
- Strong domain knowledge preferred in Electricity Transmission, Distribution, Industrial, and Automation markets.
- Strong business and technical acumen, with a keen interest in business development and commercial aspects.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and influential skills.
- Initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.
