Director - Strategic Planning
Overview
The Director of Strategic Planning will play a key role in shaping Mastercard Europe strategy and accelerating its execution. They will lead cross-functional projects developing strategic plans in partnership with various business units, identify and pursue new growth opportunities, analyze M&A opportunities, etc. This role is within Europe Strategy & Business Excellence, a great place to learn rapidly by being exposed to the most strategic questions Mastercard Europe faces and by working alongside smart and driven colleagues.
Role
• Proactively identify opportunities for growth or improvement within the region.
• Help regionalize Mastercard's global strategy and accelerate its implementation.
• Support other business units in accelerating their growth strategies.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects for the region—from defining the problem statement to developing robust execution plans.
• Drive change by partnering closely with different teams.

• Proven track record of leading high-stakes strategic projects.
• A problem-solver with an analytical mindset and the ability to cut through noise and complexity.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams without direct authority.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
• Quick learner, adaptable to new topics and projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of payments is a strong plus.
• Consulting experience and/or in-house corporate strategy background is advantageous.
• Curiosity to learn about all aspects of Mastercard.
