As our company grows and develops, we are ever expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Director to join our Advisory Division.

SOCOTEC Advisory is a chartered quantity surveying and expert witness consultancy, renowned for its team of industry-recognised experts and delivery of robust and quality services. Our team is made up of approximately 60 Quantity Surveyors with a broad spectrum of experience. This allows the delivery of services across most sectors, including residential, infrastructure and marine, in both public and private sectors and enables expertise to be shared across the company.

SOCOTEC Advisory is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director to lead our Technical Advisory Services for Architectural Disputes. The successful candidate will oversee the provision of expert technical advice and dispute resolution services related to architectural and construction projects. This role demands a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of architectural practices, construction methodologies, and legal aspects of architectural disputes

You should have and demonstrate strong skills in some or all of the following:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the Technical Advisory Services department, aligning with SOCOTEC’s overall business goals
  • Identify new business opportunities and drive growth in the architectural dispute resolution market
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Technical Advisory Services team, ensuring high-quality service delivery
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines and budge adherence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns
  • Provide expert advice on complex architectural disputes, including forensic analysis, technical evaluations and expert witness testimony
  • Stay updated on industry trends, legal developments and best practices in architectural dispute resolution
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of technical advisors, ensuring continuous professional growth
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of technical advice
  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and code of practice
