Handley James Chemical are excited to be engaged as the search partner to the leading provider of global market insight across the chemical and petrochemical industries, offering integrated data, market analysis and advanced modelling across all major industry verticals, including – Olefins, Plastics and Polymers, Inorganics, Syngas aromatics.

Based in London, we are recruiting for a Director, Ammonia – Urea Market Analysis who will ultimately lead the global research in ammonia, urea and emerging hydrogen markets. This is a strategic leadership role combining market analysis, team management, and client consulting.

The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of the ammonia industry, gained either within either a producer, consumer, or consultancy within the ammonia space.

You will have a comprehensive understanding of regional differences related to the market. Proven resource coordination skills are required for using both internal and external subject matter experts. You will have a strong and proven sales/commercial mindset and skillset and be able to work with global industry organisations.

Required experience:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Economics or related technical subject (Advantageous)
• Proven experience at a senior/strategic level within the ammonia industry - either a producer, consumer or consultant within the industry.
• Knowledge of the hydrogen market would be highly advantageous.
• Highly analytical thinker.
• Proven experience for writing, negotiating and performing detailed consulting agreements.
• Advanced computer skills with emphasis on data analysis.
• Strong skills in market analysis, forecasting and supply-demand modelling.
• Experience managing and developing teams.

In return our client is offering a basic salary c£120,000 - £130,000, bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
