Our client, a North London Investor with a national portfolio, is seeking to appoint a Director to manage the strategic direction and operations of the business. The focus is one of opportunism, optimising portfolio performance, and creating value from the outset. As a growing and ambitious company, the time has come to appoint a highly skilled and driven Director to lead the team and take the business to new heights.

Reporting directly to the Founder, you will have a demonstrated background at leadership level, and be well equipped with managing a small team. The successful candidate will spearhead the anticipated growth and development of a truly unique player in the UK property world.

You will work in unison with the Founder, together responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the business. Being a strong Leader is essential as you will be responsible for leading the Finance, Asset Management, Operations and the overall day to day management of the firm.

Main Duties

Strategic & Operational Leadership:

• Implement organisational structure and process to clearly define role and department priorities, including the creation of job descriptions.
• Set and monitor targets and KPIs akin to each areas of the business, to ensure clarity in expectations.
• Maintain and build on the existing collaborative and entrepreneurial culture that encourages growth and development.
• Act as a mentor and support to the team, providing clear guidance and expectations on a regular basis.
• Establish and maintain relationships with all stakeholders across the business including tenants, investors and local communities, amongst others.
• Working with the Founder, execute the business’ long-term strategy and business plan.
• Recruit new team members when necessary.

Asset Management, Investment & Development

• Identify and carry out due diligence on new market opportunities and potential investment avenues.
• Diversifying the portfolio across tenant structures and asset class.
• Bring in new connection and relationships to help further the growth of business across capital raising, tenants and investments.
• Develop tailored asset strategies and business plans with the support of the wider business.
• Support the day-to-day asset management of both operational and development assets, analysing performance against business plans and recommending initiatives to enhance income, valuation, and returns.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, working cross-functionally to identify key drivers of financial variance and mitigate risk.
• Liaising with national operators, legal representatives and local authorities to ensure timely action is taken.
